A tale of two birds

Camera Critters

We went to Uran and JNPT for this Sunday's bird walk and it was a lot of fun. Saru and I are new to bird watching (he will claim he is not new) and are loving it. It is a 3 in 1 hobby. You get to pursue birding, hiking and photography in one go. Here is a tale I weaved using some images of green bee eaters. It is very childish and I was in two minds about publishing this post, but the birds were too cute to ignore.

I don't want to talk to you. You are mean!!

I don't care either!

Let me peek and see if he is looking at me...

Look at him! He doesn't care!!

Oh....sniff....sniff....I am going to cry

I am so sorry! Please don't cry! You will ruin your mascara!

Don't worry. I use L'Oreal
because.... I am worth it!

    Lakshmi,
I almost didn't post it because I thought it was too childish, but the pictures were begging to tell the story.

    Hitch writer,
Thanks. When you start hanging around a place with your camera for hours, you are bound to get lucky. In the 5 hours we spent outside, on Sunday, we got these shots.

  10. Way to go Vamsee! Nice way of weaving in a conversation that you and Saru might have had years ago during the courtship. These seem like a couple of very proud birds: The avian equivalent of a couple of feuding French waiters. This is nice. You can form new story-lines with pictures of these birds. Perhaps create children's story books that way! Keep them coming.

  17. You have woven a lovely story from the shots.
What camera do you use? and the range of lens?

  18. Absolutely Adorable!! Had a good time sharing these pictures with the family. Captions normally make a picture more interesting...in this case we have to agree the pictures competing equally with the smart captions.

  19. Amazing story telling with a series of images. The 2nd one is my pick of this series. First I saw the just the images and I read a story as they parted ways then I read your narration and I fell out of my chair laughing...Thomas
